Natural/Unnatural
“To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live or are latent in all things.”
~ Ansel Adams
Happy Friday all! Have a great weekend. :-)
Wanna see it in 3D, just like Pixar's UP?
(May not work on all — or possibly any — monitors) :-)

I'm so impressed with this image for lots of reasons-- as stated in the above comments --but mostly because I know this exact place and would never have seen this in the way that you've captured it. Wow! Thanks, Trev!
*trevj (15 months ago)
@ georgia: I figured most of my Ottawa contacts would be very familiar with this place. Though I haven't seen a lot of other pics of these ruins, I'm sure there's a ton of them out there and I was concerned I might be posting something that's been shot to death from this angle already.

Nobody else has pulled it off like you have! This looks very *dramatic* in b&w with the flare & angle, and becomes very original.
ang brinker (15 months ago)
Oh I love that sun flare. Great B/W here as well. Beautiful capture.

Two ens I think...
I hope you didn't damage your sensor staring at the sun like that!
Keeping the tree on the right hand side vertical was clever. It makes the shot a lot less disorienting.
