Painting Stones

A booklet originally produced in Germany in 1973. This version was published in England in 1975.

All these stones were painted by Doris Epple.

This set consists of all of the colour plates. There's some interesting black and white ones too, and I'll probably scan them soon.

Technical details: the stones are all washed thoroughly first and then painted with poster paints, and finally varnished. Doris recommends that you get the best quality fine brushes for the details. She also mentions using a mapping pen and ink for the fine lines and details.
