an awesome woman by the name of cinnamon gave me sewing lessons for a christmas present. shortly after the holidays, she picked me up in sparky the hybrid, drove me to the south side for fabric shopping and a late lunch at manny's.

fast forward: i now can physically wear the fruits of my labor (with her guidance, of course). i couldn't be happier (some would say giddy even) with my finished product, even if it is a basic a-line skirt. we're now working on two more skirts, with the hopes of making some cute tops out of the leftover fabric.

project runway, here i come...er, not...

(pardon the varying degrees of green. color correcting is not my specialty.)
