In Copenhagen...in the winter these moments are rare. They're moments that are cherished....even if the weather is freezing and the wind is blowing...when the sun makes an appearance you drop what you're doing and drink it in.

Life is like the wind. You can try to plan it, manipulate it...but it moves where and when it wants. Sometimes it propels us forward enabling us to move faster than we can imagine and sometimes it seems to stop us in our tracks.

It's January in Denmark....cold, short, dark days. In other words, not the best time of the year to shoot if your a guys who prefers shooting outdoors in natural light. I'm aching to shoot right now but may have to wait a little longer. In the meantime I'll just keep enjoying some of the 2011 shoots.

Today is the second day I've been able to spend some time working on my life plan. As I think about this year one of the things I want to do is...see more.

Regarding photography 2011 was all about learning the camera more, and shooting as many different people and events as possible. I want to continue with weddings, portraits and models in 2012 but I also want to see more. To look for creative ways to capture the beauty all around. Looking forward to growing more as an artist this year....should be fun!

We're back from Christmas vacation in the US and we find ourselves with a blank canvas in Denmark. What will 2012 look like? Who do I want to become? What do I want to do? I'm not looking for resolutions which usually die a quick death but a plan.

I'm starting the process of developing a life plan....which will then lead to quarterly and annual goals in various areas of my life.

Today is the start of the process....so I put on some Jack Johnson, brewed some tea and set out to live a fuller life. Happy New Year!
