The British Home Office Immigration service have implemented Biometric security scanning at Heathrow. They scan the 4 fingers of your right hand as well as a facial photo. I decided to photograph them too!

This is Terminal 1. After the flight connection area, follow signs for UK and Irish flights and you are brought here.

Wow the UK is ahead of th US in the fingerprinting then! JFK still only require 1 finger (each hand).

Various UK airports had been taking photos throughout the trip through them, but this is the first time I see its including fingerprints.
