I noticed that all the flights I have been on lately offer only pretzels. I thought it might be because of all the people with severe peanuts and tree nut allergies. There is a boy in my class who can have a severe reaction just from smelling peanuts on someone's breath, so my classroom is a "Peanut-free zone" this year.

OR maybe it's because pretzels are cheaper.

I was very happy to get peanuts! I have noticed the pretzel thing too. I do wonder why all of a sudden there is such a huge amount of peanut allergies. Could it be the way they are treating/growing peanuts these days? Or are we dooming ourselves with making our world so clinically clean that we never develop a good immune system. They have proven that (within reason) kids who live in a more dusty environment have a better imune system and less medical problems, than those who live in a sterile envirmonment. Just some food for thought...

And yes, I brought three of my own nuts with me, met the other one there...and then there is the big Kahona, who was already here. I'm surrounded by nuts! :)
