Nice b&w. I'm this close to saving. The
problem? The spray at the bottom. It is too
large a block of white and it distracts from
the wonderful swirls of foam on the rest of
the water.
I think this one would benefit from a schmear
of crop. You could take out the incriminating
second wake and move the horizon off dead
center. Other than that, makes me want to be
a drug runner in the Keys.
But the boat! The boat isn't dramatic,
really, at all. There's something off, to me
-- maybe if the boat was MORE dramatic, or
the sea and sky slightly less, I wouldn't
feel kind of put off.
Oh, just call me a poet-killer and be done
with it! :)

But the boat looks like it's fleeing a
dramatic storm, which, in turn, adds a sense
of drama to the boat as well. Fleeing for its
life from the foreboding thunderclouds
chasing behind.
Blablabla, I'll just go drink more beer.

I left the wake in to enhance the sense of
speed - this shot was taken at 45 knots, and
I wanted to convey that feeling. I also
purposely posted a shot with the boat
overwhelmed by its surroundings - that's sort
of the point here.

I've been seeing a lot of the word
"random" around here lately.
"his expression seems random"
"the sky seem random" "the
composition is random". I'm really
beginning to hate that word.

I agree that the splash of the boat gives a
sense of speed but if it was in colour it
would have been more obvious, Great b&w
though!
