solar-powered cell phone suitcases.
The suitcases are a partnership with the Rural Energy Foundation, an NGO that facilitates market access for rural energy solutions.
These "Jokko suitcases" contain solar-powered outlets where customers can charge cellphones and purchase small amounts of credit.
Out in the villages, off the grid, the suitcases provide a mobile means of access to some of the advantages of cell phone technology while acting as a source of income for the Community Management Committees who oversee them on behalf of the group.
