One Laptop Per Child Dave answers the question, "So what is (in my opinion anyway) the best invention of 2007? I think the XO ‘One Laptop Per Child‘ Laptop is worthy of the title. It wasn’t invented in 2007 but this has been the year that the laptop begun mass production and distribution. There is often a long time delay between a projects inception and its delivery. It has taken five years for the XO to be delivered but I believe that it has the potential to deliver on the promise of empowering children in developing nations by giving them access to the information we take for granted."
