Holiday Spirit

I am glad that the little person in front of the camera is in shadow. I don’t know if it is a boy or girl, black or white, Jewish or Buddhist, whether they will grow up to be gay or straight.

I do know I see a child in wonder of the majesty of a holiday spectacle. Where they can just stand there and say “wow”.

May prayer for the new year is that we as photographers try to find our inner kid again. The one that is impulsive, trusting, curious, not judging, creative and loving. These are the spirits that will allow us to create images that will convey and celebrate the creation we are fortunate to bear witness to.

Thank you all for your support and comments on my images. You help me, on a good day, to yell WOW.
