Absolutely wonderful! I'm glad to see this is doing so well in "captivity."

Better than anyone ever expected! Seems to grow in a range of climates from tropical Queensland to southern England, not too fussy about soil or exposure.

Thats encouraging to hear Tony as I was given one as a "Christmas present" last year and Ive been wondering what the hell I was going to do with ! Dig a hole and plant seems to be the answer given its more adaptable than I thought although conditions at my place (NE Vic) have sorely tested the hardiest of plants over the last 3 years.

Tony, I would be a bit careful in a climate like Wodonga. I you have a spot under trees where you don't get white frost, or on a slope where the coldest air drains away, that would be a good place to plant it. And it would be wise to enclose it with sacks or similar protection for the first few winters. At Mt Tomah (my family's place, not the botanic garden) we had bad frost damage to conifers like Agathis robusta and Prumnopitys ladei in a winter about 10 years ago, but now they are too tall to be damaged. Our lowest recorded temp there was about minus 4. I suspect you get much lower at Wodonga. In the far south of England I understand recent winters are much milder than they once were, but the next big cold spell could wipe out a lot of plants that are now being grown there.

Mine survived -6°c for 6 nights in a row without any damage (50cm high).
Growth is correct even in poor sandy soil with short week summers.
