Assaf, yeah I've noticed my 17-40mm lens has fine coat of red dust inside the front element. If anyone is going out in such conditions, they should always be a filter attached to it.
As for the camera, I'm not sure if the dust has done anything to it. Although, I feel as though the AF on the 5D has become more unreliable with various lenses.
