Built in 1823-24, St. Paul's was one of the four founding parishes of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi. The church has an 1837 organ built by Henry Erben which was restored by Roy Redmond of Fort Worth and is in use today. My father was rector here from 1973-1990.

It was a great day for photography in Woodville as I shot the original image of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in black and white. There was relaively no haze and the sky was clear and the light was outstanding perfectly illuminating the facade of the church. Thomas Barnes who has a personal link and history with St. Paul's has taken a great image and reinterpreted it with new artistic meaning. I look forward to his adaptations of my originals taken during my recent trip to the Miss-Lou area with great anticipation and elation! What a collaboration with a great artist and person!
