Salitrera/Campo de Detención Chacabuco

From 1924 to 1940 this place in the middle of the Chilean desert was work, home for 5000 workers processing NitrateOre.

From 1973 to 1974, a detention center for 3000 political prisoners against Augusto Pinochet´s military regime. 98 landmines are now lost around its perimeter.
