A.P. or Andrew Perry McWilliams was born 24 Nov 1822 in Elyton, Jefferson County, Alabama and he and his wife are among the earliest pioneers to settle this area. He died in Van Zandt County, Texas on 26 Jun 1893 and is buried here in Liberty Cemetery with his wife. Elyton was later incorporated into what is now Birmingham, Alabama.
E.A. or Elizabeth Ann Rowan McWilliams was born 3 Aug 1821 in St. Clair County, Alabama and died in Van Zandt County, Texas on 2 Mar 1900.
Among their children were James Dyer McWilliams who married my Great Great Grandaunt, Sarah A. Riley, and William Watson McWilliams who married my first cousin 4 times removed, Louisa Caroline Hobbs.
