George Truett Jeter 1919-2003
George was my mother's younger brother and was born 12 Oct 1919 in Colfax, Van Zandt County, Texas in a log cabin and was delivered by his father, Dr. Joseph Joshua Jeter. He married Minnie Ruth Mayberry in 1942 and had 3 birth children and also adopted a daughter. George was a World War II veteran and one of the hardest working, most decent men I ever had the privilege to meet. He also had one of the quickest wits I ever encountered and kept you laughing nonstop. He died on 5 Mar 2003 in Waco, McLennan County, TX. To the right is him with his family at the time, his wife Minnie Ruth (1922-2008), and sons Truett (1945-1993) and David (1948-1999).
