It's a miracle that I ever made it home. That miracle is being poor.
I'd never been to Florida before this past weekend, family trips always avoiding this mysterious state as we passed through Georgia on our way to see relatives. I WAS DEPRIVED OF ADVENTURE!
But not anymore. I've seen the land of palm trees and great food, and I want to go back. walking through a residential area I was struck by how photogenic everything is. I could point a camera anywhere and make a postcard anyone would be happy to have as a souvenir.
But as is my habit, I pointed my camera at these lovely ladies. I met Katie (left) as she was opening the doors to the antique place she works at, and knew instantly that I wanted to snap a Polaroid of her. Well, life is good to me from time to time and I got a shot of her friend Pauleen as well, taking advantage of this sunny state and the Polaroids I left South Carolina late for (my postman decided he wanted to ignore me the day before, and bring them at the last minute).
So I've seen the greener grass and I want to jump the fence. And when I land, I've already got some pretty faces waiting for my cameras to come back with me.
