Paper Cap

Full Sail Session Lager bottle caps have Rock-Paper-Scissors (or as I prefer, "paper-scissors-ROCK!") graphics on the inside. I used my 90mm macro lens on this one, which has a very narrow depth of field wide open. To get both the graphic and the crimped rim in focus, I took two shots at different focal settings, aligned in photoshop, and pasted the sharp parts from one image over the fuzzy parts in the other. There are automatic algorithms for doing this, but they come with a lot of artifacts, and besides, ImageJ wasn't co-operating tonight.
