(Project 365 Day 86)
It suddenly occurred to me the other day to borrow my dad's old Nikon
FG-20 film SLR from the early 80s. He never uses it any more.
I've never used an SLR before, and I figure it'd be fun learning to use them the hard way on a film camera instead of the easy way with a DSLR. Yeah, I'm a masochist I know. I mean, I'll be playing with f-stops and shutter speeds, and I won't even know how each picture comes out till AGES later. (Where "ages" is defined as > 1.5 seconds. :P )
It has such a gorgeous 50mm f/1.4 lens, though. Anyway, looking forward to heading out tomorrow and wasting some film. :)

Super. I may have mentioned this before, but I still have a Yashica SLR with a 50mm f/1.9 but it's falling apart and leaks light like a grounded supertanker leaks oil. I tried using it a while back but it's wasting film at a rate I just can't deal with (red flares on over 75% of the exposures). But I hear you can snap these up for next to nothing so I'm definitely going to try and get another one sometime and shoot some film again. There really is no comparison.
