Dave, a long-time flickrite, was driving through Phoenix with his partner Sean, on their way back to Portland. Since he wanted to meet some other flickr and online friends, we all met up for dinner.

The air over Phoenix must be filled with fine crystals, because just two days later (after taking this photo), I caught a halo around the moon. During the exposure, I saw an airplane flying into my shot (how dare he!), but in the end, the result was rather cool.

This morning, around 10:30 or so, I noticed a rainbow around the sun. In person, of course, it was much more subtle. I dropped the exposure, bumped up the contrast and saturation and came up with this rather cool image. What do you think?
