Great capture, and obviously not an easy one to achieve.

It had the potential to be a good shot, but where has that faded stripe across the bird come from. It seems like some sort of error. Which is unfortunate, since the rest of the bird is nice and sharp.

I think it is a cloud behind the bird.

i was a bit torn on this one... like craig said above, has the potential, but somehow comes up short. The main flaw that bugs me i noted. sorry.

The figures in the background are blurred beyond recognition. If only the shapes were easier to read... but I love what you're doing here. There is something ominous, too, in the stark tones.

The idea is interesting but the figure in the bg disturbs me as too blurred

This is very very close to being great. The figures in the back are nearly unrecognizable, and that white blur by the bird is a major distraction. It's still very good but falls just short.

I took me too long to figure out the blob in the background and I'm still not sure that I have. Is it a couple? I also don't like the bright spot(cloud?) behind the bird but that is only a minor complaint.

Thanks for all your comments so far.

What I like about this shot is the blurred couple!! To get a low bird shot at 450mm and get some people in shot as well was what excited me about this shot!!

Rebekka: I very deliberately left that bit in!! Perhaps my personal aesthetic is a bit out of whack!!

It is a couple embracing. Lady on the left, man on the right!!

hehe.. you get points for the fact that the bit that annoys me is at least perfectly horizontal;)

I'm so close, but the blur. I understand it might be a cloud, but it is too distracting.

I love the couple in the bg.

Looking at the bird, you captured it very well but the light spot in front of the ibrd draws my attention from the bird. The statue or whatever doesn't really seem to fit this image. (Oh, it's a couple embraced...This could be a little more defined.)

i don't mind the blurred figures, but would have liked to see this in black and white instead of black and blue. it's a great capture but the composition has made it cross the line from incredible to incredibly boring.

I like the blue. I like the platform that seems to be in question.

The cloud behind the bird is an unfortunate blemish in a great picture.

Great pic. It really is.
