I like it :-)

It use to be bigger. Braces do wondrous things

It’s been 7 months since my life totally changed. I moved from a home that I shared with my mom (who past away 2 years ago) for 30 years, sold all that was there, all memories, all baggage where left behind.
Gave my dog away to a man who was getting a divorce, she seems to have grown to love him ALOT and she…gave birth to 4 little puppies (Lucky gal). I got an acne attack (never in my life have I gotten acne until recently), I gained about 10 pounds (imagine my mood). To top it all off a friend lost my camera….

Now, Acne is going away only the battle scars remain (Hoping they disappear soon). I’m losing weight and I just got a brand new camera… Do I think the Lord had a hand in all these changes, I don’t doubt it one bit!

So glad I finally have a chance to get on Flickr and check up on friends. I have been under a lot of stress myself lately at work, and I actually broke out with acne, even though I thought I was way past all that. I also gained five pounds during this time. So I really understand and empathize.
I have read that traumatic events, especially more than one at a time, can cause weight gain and acne. The most traumatic events are: death of someone in your immediate family, moving to a new home, getting fired, a new job, divorce, and being the victim of robbery. So you had three out of the six events on that list all around the same time. I don't think losing your camera was on the list, but we at Flickr totally understand that that was tramatic for you, too. (Mine is in the shop and I fret about it constantly, although I still have my little Nikon 5700. I keep seeing shots that I could have captured with the new camera due to its quickness on the button, telephoto powers, and high ISO capability.)
I think the Lord lets us go through these difficult times because, after we have gone through them, we mature. We learn that, no matter what takes place, the Lord is with us and we will be okay. Faith grows, strengthens, and we become calmer and stronger, less fearful of what could happen. Ultimately, we become less stressed over all.

TP, you're absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you were wonderfully made, and I'm glad you are doing everything you can with what you've been given.

Life is beautiful, but it isn't easy. I'm glad it isn't easy, though. The hard stuff helps us to cut away all of the extraneous stuff. It purifies us, though I can't say I always welcome the purification.
