Shape Of Light IX

Edit : This photo is part of a series of 5 that has been awarded 2nd place at the International Photography Awards 2012 (IPA 2012) in the architectural category. This means that after winning 2nd place in 2010 and 1st place in 2011 that I've won this competition for 3 consecutive years in this category at this prestigious competition.

“Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light ”

- Le Corbusier

About The Shape of Light Series:
Architectural shapes and spaces are revealed and formed by light. And at the same time I try to capture and visualize the light as a strong and almost tangible shape to emphasize its necessary existence and the strong connection between light and architecture.
Light shapes - Shape the light.

Just a few more weeks before the Berlin Photowalk on May 12/13 where I will teach the free Long exposure Architectural sessions. Take a look on my Google+ page if you want to know more about it and want to register for the event.

The "metallic" structure really stands out against the almost black sky. Excellent.

Now, if only I could get to Berlin. Free architectural LE sessions sounds too good to be true. It's still weeks away and I'm already jealous of the participants.

Fabulous image that really shows your artistic vision as I'm guessing the in camera image looks a lot different. Love that central line. It is fantastic.

The prow of a ship? the apex of a temple to technology? a futuristic vehicle of flight? ...only context allows us to make sense of what we see in light, without it our mind sees whatever we wish...I could cut myself on the angles of that building, Joel, cracking tones and contrast, too.
