Reconstruction of the Överhögdal tapestry: a detail

The reconstruction is made by Ellinor Sydberg, our teacher, on '80's. All yarn is hand-spun (linen and wool) and colours are dyed with natural colours, like madder (red) and woad (blue). This is an exact copy of Överhögdalsbonaden (Överhögdal tapestry), which is dated to the viking age (ca. 800-1050).
