Alfie's scared of everything, but everything piques his curiosity. I had my bf's point & shoot in his cage trying to snap a few shots, but he got scared and ran in his lil tube. Within a few seconds, he poked his head out and came out to sniff the camera.

UPDATE 2007.10.03: I am beyond amazed at how popular this photo is! When I uploaded it, I was sure people would think... "oh, it's just another hamster picture." To my surprise, it replaced my top Interestingness photo - Cherry Blossom - which has been #1 ever since i uploaded it 7 months ago!

Had to come back and gaze at this again. Besides the utter adorableness of the model, it's the wonderful use of depth of field, the white-out that makes the background seem to be infinite, the slight camera tilt, the lighting, and those precious fat cheeks peeking out of the tube. All those things work magically together to make a truly fantastic shot.

Well, you know how sometimes you take a picture thinking that it's not that great and don't expect many people to click and view it? This is one of them. Usually those picture that I work hard on doesn't get many views/comments, but pictures like these where I simply threw together at the last minute gets all the attention. LOL, this is why it's a surprise!
