...sorry,
I just couldn't resist this...

It is supposed to be quite a remarkable year, and the last new year as we know it...
... But, isn't it funny that this sun stone, that is most used to represent the Mayan calender (even on more or less official sites), in fact is carved by the Aztecs? I mean - no doubt that it is one sexy artefact, but if they can't even pick the right stone, I sure hope they can calculate the right date....

So, just in case they have made a little timing mistake.... I'll try to live it to the max, but not totally like there is no tomorrow...

Best wishes and a happy new year everyone.... and I hope the good things stay the same or are getting even better, and your positive dreams come true ...

HCS, HSS and HNY to you all!

...end of part one...

...end of part one...

100 days ago, I started my "picture a day before the end of the world as we know it" project. Today, there are only 400 days left according to the Maya calendar...
And I'm only at picture 419 - Not synchronized at all and way behind!!!

So - we have a little problem here… time for some reflection, and redefining the rules of the game.
Let's look at some strategies…

I could go on following this trend, and the world will be gone and I still have some 100 pictures to do… of course no one will care with all the world collapsing and so, but I'll miss all the fun of a proper worldwide countdown.

Or I could panic and try to be in a permanent state of catching up for the next 400 days, but that isn't very realistic and not very good for my nerves either…

Or I could simply accept the fact that not all daily pics are keepers, and put some quickie’s in and bore you to death with it... Been there done that in my first PAD.

No - from now on I will post even less pictures, but I will try to make them better ones.

That what was a blessing in the first series, feels like a little curse right now - roaming the streets and the forests at night, but it seems that I’ve shot already anything interesting within one day’s action radius… really an empty hunting ground…

So let’s reverse that...
I've written down plenty of slightly unusual ideas and never enough time nor courage for planning and working them out in one day. So I'm gonna take that time for a while… maybe once a week, maybe more… whatever the picture needs.

I've now 81 pictures in the PADuTEOTWAWKI set , and I will keep it that way, just because it makes such a nice square...
I'll only replace some with more relevant and interesting ones… and each new picture must be good enough to replace an old one…

And don't worry - before the end is even close to near, there will be enough interesting ideas to gain up again…

Now on with part two!
