Opera's Inferno

Opera's Inferno

About 10 minutes after the QM2 disappeared, the sun set the harbour on fire and I really can't decide which one I like the best, as a photographer it's a good problem to have.

Awaiting The Queen

Awaiting The Queen

Here's a panoramic version of my earlier image of the Opera House with the queen of the seas, the QM2 sailing into port, what a magnificent sight. This morning was one of those special moments in a photographers life, totally unplanned and everything came together perfectly.

Opera's Inferno

Opera's Inferno

Had to do a install at Chatswood Chase this morning, and on my to work I thought I'd swing by the Opera House for a little one on one with the lady, to my delight the sky was on fire, two cruise ships came into port and the classic Australian icon performed wonderfully.

This is only two frames stitched together (NON HDR) and a little work in photoshop. The power of Zeiss!!!!

Wee Willy Wagtail

Wee Willy Wagtail

Jameroo NSW

I was getting some lunch this morning and this woman was singing this silly little tune about a Willy Wagtail and it reminded me of my shoot in Jamberoo, so I had to have a look through the images and came across this pano with the bird on the barbed wire, to my delight it's a Willy Wagtail. It's amazing how the brain works.

Wee Willie wagtail where is your home?

Why do you wander, why do you roam?

Wee Willie Wagtail sing me a song .

Come home Willie, home where you belong .

Thread the Needle

Thread the Needle

To be honest I was a little sceptical about this location at first, Jeff Smith suggested it for a sunrise shoot and when we were slipping all over the rocks, I felt justified. When we came upon the concrete stumps leading to the horizon, I was impressed with its compositional potential and the stunning sunrise colours just made it perfect. Only thing lacking was a nice place to have breakfast.
