Run 10: Interval (October 5, 2006, 400m Track)

I got a pair of Nike+ shoes for my birthday and started running again after almost a year without a single workout.

I really like the Nike+ concept and implementation. I wish they would add more functionality to the software, but frankly, it's great as is. I can heartily recommend the system to anyone new to running. It's a great motivational tool and the community integration is very nice. If you're serious about training, you really need to get a heart rate monitor (as I found out during my first week of running). The problem with the Nike+ system is that it can only tell you what your shoes are doing, but that's not nearly as important as what's happening inside your body. A heart rate monitor will tell you what happened inside your body during a workout which is a lot more helpful.

If Nike allowed the Triax Elite to use the Nike+ software and community integration, I'd love them forever.
