spiral-002
The first image (spiral-08-z-42) is an example of what may be found in the set. Afterwards this set begins by zooming into a spiral within a mu island that is a direct descendant of the main continent, then makes a series of drill downs to different mu islands. When completed, hovering your mouse over an image will display white rectangles that lead to enlargements of the areas they contain. Hover your mouse over a rectangle to display a hyperlink to that area.
Originally, I had thought that the embedded Julias that lie along a given logarithmic spiral were nearly similar, and tended towards an ideal as one progressed down the spiral. This isn't the case. The further one goes the more baroque the embedded Julias become, with more concentric embedded Julias and more turns of the spirals that surround the increasing numbers of layers that wrap the mu island at the core.
