Sean Taylor / 1983 - 2007
I've been a Washington fan for 25 seasons, and Sean Taylor will always stay my favorite Redskin, ever. I never needed a Redskins jersey until Sean Taylor got drafted, and I bought mine before he ever even played a down.
He had spectacular physical talent, a natural understanding of the most complex sport in the world, and a swagger that only he could have. He died defending his family, from an intruder who broke into his home. He was fearless in football, and in his last moments on earth, he was still fearless. Rest in peace, #21. I wish I could still watch you play. www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/27/... Nice tribute. Really sad turn of events. It's also rather scary to think that a life could be ended just like that.
