Old Donegal Town PostcardTawnwilly RC Chapel Church of Ireland Methodist Church Cousin's house Courthouse Duffy's Cafe. Pub. Forget the name of it, but they used to have an old Irish Wolfhouse sleeping on step when I used to walk home from school. The dog was taller than me at the time! Caldwells McIntyres The Cinema. Used to be a Chapel before the Chapel to the right was build (I think). The cinema's been closed for years, and only recently was knocked down for a huge (for the street) office building. Our house was here. The Bluestack Pub. The Secondary School. Now moved out to the Ballyshannon Road. Dr. Brown's House? The Old Castle is hidden behind these trees Used to be the priests house. Which is now a newer house behind the chapel. A friend had this pinned on the back of his bathroom door. I have a copy that I just found that I'll scan if anyone wants a better quality pic?

Commentsbettlebrox says:The original pic is years old, and the
postcard maker highlighted it with fake
colours for some reason. The grass is too
green and the houses are all the wrong
colours, but it's a great look into how
Donegal Town looked about 30 years ago bettlebrox says:Correct me if I'm wrong on any of my notes.
And feel free to add your own notes (let me
know if you can't!).

It is a very nostalgic impression.
In a gentle shade, I like it.
