Hello, this is an interesting idea, but basically, it is not new. Your proposals are similar to the way the pump manufacturer Grundfos access pump data by use of a remote control (see grundfos.com/web/grfosweb.nsf/Webopslag/r100). This was introduced in 1995.

The point here, I think, is more about the social and cultural concept of 'augmentation' and visibility: objects change as they are perceived with different properties.
