West span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge

Taken at about 6am, as the sun was about to rise. I had the camera on a bean bag on one of the concrete pillars along Embarcadero, just near the junction with Howard. This is a combination of two exposures: a 30s, low ISO, exposure for the bridge and sky, and then a shorter 1s exposure at f/2.8 and ISO 400 to keep some texture in the water.

Sheltering the City

I had been hoping for a nice sunset behind the skyscrapers... but instead it poured with rain and stayed cloudy. I realised that these two red umbrellas almost covered the buildings, and I liked the contrast that the colours made with the sky.
