wing 6

wing 6 by tim caynes.
I cleverly got a window seat on an EasyJet flight by being the last person to board.
Stupidly, it was on the right-hand side of the plane which was flying south in the early evening, so the sun was directly in my face all the way.
Am I that sad that that mattered?

thanks. cleaning the window before you take off is definitely worth it, regardless of what the person sat next to you thinks.

Good old SleazyJet. Where you have to clean your own windows.
Are you allowed to take windolene on board now?

Incredible depth-of-field. The orange contrasted against the greens is absolutely wonderful!

Everyone seems to take the obligatory "out of the plane window" shot, but this one is awesome! Well done.

Brilliant and freaking unbelievable how you achieved this shot. Were you riding on top of the airplane or what? That angle seems rearly inpossible.

lol. the plane was banking at the time and I was holding the camera as high as I could, pointing down to earth. it does make it look like I'm looking down at the top of the engine, but actually it is the side.
oh, ok, I was on the roof.

ha - only if you include the ones that went in at number 500 and dropped out again 2 minutes later. I used to get them often a few years ago, but it's a rare occurrence these days...

yes, what he said.
interestingness is a baffling thing, but an occasional nice surprise.
it's still victim to cats, sunsets and flowers, but more recently its effectively a chart run down of HDR fashionistas (guilty) and apparently-single-20something-geekbeautiful-f emale-ironic-selfportraitists (not guilty).

it is weird. the plane was banking as it turned right and I held my camera at the top of the window and pointed it downwards. I guess the plan was actually at about 45 degrees when I took it.
