Roaring Forties

This photograph was taken on my first real adventure in New Zealand, just after I recovered from my broken collarbone, after only been in the country for 10 days! A month later I headed down to The Bluff to make the crossing to Stewart island, this particular day was very rough and some of the worst weather they had witnessed for a while. Large parts of Stewart Island were destroyed from big landslides due to the extremely wet conditions.

I am the original owner of this photograph although it has been replicated and re-blogged 1,000 of times.

I do however have my own blog here
