Guadec mapper![]() ![]() Woo hoo! My perl is very scary, but sometimes it works!
Pulled Andrew's GUADEC GeoRSS and passed it on my horrible hack and got this small database which should be useful during GUADEC 2007. Whee! :-) To make this work for yourself, you need of course a Nokia 770 or a N800 or something else that runs maemo-mapper, put the db file in your device and point Mapper to it. Also, create a folder in your map cache directory called "poi" and put this icon there to get the nifty logos on your points. Hopefully someone finds it useful - it would of course be even better if this was automatic and would periodically pull the data and add to the POI-database, but hey, it's a few hours hack.. for a non-programmer really. But maybe we can hack together something more mature like that during the event? CommentsTuomasKuosmanen
