Chewy's blood work results

Chewy has a major infection, but the rest of it I don't really understand. I need to call them and have them explain it to me later tonight.

X-ray

They had to do a standing x-ray because Chewy was too stressed out. But there's no bright shiny spots which is GREAT. Shiny bright spots would mean Chewy had eaten metal. So far, so good.

He had some sub-q fluids and some baytril tonight, so he's comfortably resting back at home. Tomorrow he will go see his regular vet and we'll get the blood results back.

Poor Chewy Hates the Vet

One stressed out duck. Chewy weighs 1.68kg or 3.7lbs... can that be right? Seems light to me. I'll have to check through his records and see what he weighed before. He's always been a little guy.

Choo Choo

In addition to Simon having issues, Chewy has started acting a little weird. It started Thursday evening when he was in the house and wanted to go back outside. He is hiding a bit and seems like his tummy hurts. I am taking him to the emergency vet tonight so his blood work and x-ray will be done and ready to review by the time he can see the avian vet on Tuesday morning (avian vet is closed on Mondays). Oy... kids.

I hope I'm just over-reacting, or that Chewy is just stressed by the cold weather. He's very sensitive and he doesn't like changes. But something tells me he doesn't feel well. I hope it's nothing serious. I won't know more until probably Wednesday.

In good news, Racquel's cold has finally cleared up after 2-rounds of antibiotics.
