Since last summer I've been trying to get this guy. He was too smart to go in the trap, and I've never been able to get a clean shot at him before. Chased him around the yard this morning, but he went under the porch. It wouldn't have done any good anyway 'cuz the gun wasn't loaded. I had a chance right after that when he was sitting on top of the damn live-trap, but I pulled the trigger and "click". Any sound and dude was back in the hole. I sat on the couch and waited with the living room window open and when he stuck his head up over the porch I popped him. Jumped out the window and finished him off. It's hard to kill anything the first time with the 22. He got too cocky for his own good, or he'd still be digging under my porch.

Just heard the other day that Mane passed away. I don't know the circumstances. He was a Chicago original fo' sure. One of the few in this town that wasn't afraid to do his own thing. Style King. Much respect.
