Stretch Fox Kit & Bye bye Dear 7D

    Newer Older

Past week, I turned on my 7D.
At least: that's what I tried.
But in stead of the usual warm greeting with a happily blinking little light and a bright shining display...he just remained quiet... No beep, no bursts, not nothing.
Assuming (and hoping) there was something wrong with the battery, I tested again with a fully charged one, eagerly waiting for a sign of life...
    Still nothing. :(

So I rapidly brought him to the Camera Repair Centre, hoping for a quick fix.

And yesterday I received the bad news: It's NOT repairable due to moisture/ water damage. (probably caused by photographing outside while snowing)

Which means....for the first time in years I'll have to to without my ...my ...don't even know how to describe it.
Of course it's 'just' a cam, but to me it meant so much more and I just don't remember how to to without it....

So for now....a tribute to my old and (not always so) faithful camera that was there with me when I found my first fox cub.
The 7D was there to immortalize these unforgettable moments, with playing, running, suckling or just...relaxing fox kits...
We'ven been together for a short but very intense three-years-and-one-month and we had this kinda complex love/ hate relation ship.....but: Dear 7D, you will be missed...truly!!! :'(
