Full Moon![]() ![]() I've taken pictures of the full moon before with the D50. When I got the D80 I was excited to try again but was disappointed with the outcomes. So, I have tried again and obtained, I think, much better results by changing some of the parameters.
I settled on ISO 200, Aperture priority, f11. Comments!!WaynePhotoGuy

You did well --- this is not easy to do. Your focus is very good as I know how hard it is to get a good focus when zoomed to this level. Only one suggestion, I tried using a EV setting of -2.0EV to under-expose the picture by a couple levels. I tried -1.0, -2.0, and -3.0 until I got the righ amount of light in my D80. The crater in the lower right side of the moon shows up a little better as a result.
Not saying this one is any better, but I used a -5.0Ev on this one to get a much darker version:
