Texas Thistle ( Cirsium Texanum ) .... Laura

This was another wildflower I found growing next to the Milkweed. The bees were all around the field pollinating the flowers.... I have another shot that I just can't wait to share, but, it's going to be a surprise !!!

 

Bumblebees work the flowers when they mature. Larvae of painted-lady butterfly feed on foliage. Goldfinches eat seeds and use fluff (silky) of ripened seeds to line nests.
