Day 69: The birth of SXSW

If you haven't heard, there's a little music festival happening in Austin next week (SXSW, for those living under a tumbleweed). We're sponsoring a Schubas + Lincoln Hall showcase there and we asked our pals at Spike Press to design a poster for the event. It turned out awesome, don'tcha think? Anyway, if you're there, you should come check it out...RSVP Here!

Oh, who's Spike Press, you ask? It's actually one dude - Chicago-based illustrator and designer John Solimine. After cutting his teeth on screenprinted posters, John has gone on to work for such clients as American Express, The Chicago Tribune, and Nike, while earning recognition from Communication Arts and Print Magazine.

The poster was printed by our friends at Delicious Design League (see Day 61). Thanks to all for this great collab!
