I'm not sure if it's sad or gratifying that I
could identifty so many of those sites based
on favicon alone...

Now if you went to all those sites in one
day, or even one week, I'd be impressed.
How come you weren't out trying to break
(or drown) your 5D? ;-)

I love the attitude of actually making
screenshots, pasting them in one document,
priniting it out and then taking a digital
photo of it. Really anti-technology, but it
works.

mdoeff, this was most of yesterday and the
day before (some I went to through my RSS
reader though so I had to click through to
the original site today to get the favicon).
I'm thinking of adding on to it and trying to
get it up to 1000. The problem is though
that a lot of sites don't have favicons plus
I tend to go back to a lot of the same sites
over and over again -- Flickr, Boing Boing
and Digg for example. It would be nice is
someone could write an app to capture a
graphic like this for you automatically. It
seems like a great way to remember where you
have been. Of course you'd need to strip all
the porn out (not for me but for others of
course), etc. but it could be really cool 10
years from now to look back at say 1000 sites
that you visited in a week 10 years ago.
By the way, I was only on Pirate's Bay
doing... uhhh.. research.

I do love that 5D robzpics. But I like using
it at night the best. I did this project
during the day when I'm tied to a desk. I
did it with my laptop too which really
smarted -- small screen with Photoshop and no
mouse. I need to get an external mouse for
that thing.

New game idea: pick a random favicon and then
give the user a choice of four site titles.
Pick the title corresponding to the favicon.
Gotta be 10 lines of PHP (*spit*). Anyone?

So, now that Flickr will restrict the max
amount of tags per image to 75, I guess we
need to archive the huge amount of tags
Thomas laboriously attached to this image.
