Sevan Highway sign in Armenia

I love this sign. I took this picture in Armenia. I looked at it hundreds of times as I took the marshrutka from Sevan to Yerevan and back again. It says, from top to bottom, Noraduz, Sevan, Yerevan, Martuni.

Armenian alphabet look very interesting to me.
It seems like there are also Russian alphabet below.
I heard Russian language is widely used in Armenia and also Ukraina.
