Speaking of which, here's a Penny Arcade related comment:

The Tower of Genesis is an ungodly construct. The Lord will surely strike it down just like the other Tower of Genesis, also known as the Tower of Babel.

I'm a whore for consoles and accessories. I admit that I kind of collect them and I'm envious of your tower of doom. I only have about half that.

why is the mastersystem adapter plugged into the 32x adapter and then genesis cartridges in the mastersystem one? You can clearly see it doesn't fit in the slot correctly (it's cockeyed). This is heresy!!!!

Since the image does not get much larger, can someone label what each piece is and what it's doing?

As a comic piece, it's funny.

As a historic piece, it's crap. A cleaning cart into a master system converter into a 32x? It doesn't even fit right. I'd find it more funny if it was actually all setup properly and running a game.

Heh, the only thing that'd make it better is if it were one of the old, extra-wide Genesis units at the heart of it, instead of the more modern sleek compact one.

The only way to make it taller would be to plug sonic 2 into the top of sonic 3 (or is it plug sonic 3 into sonic and knuckles?)

Actually, you can make it taller, but you need the original sega, add the X-Band online adaptor, and plug any EA game into the slot, those were almost 1/2 taller than most regular cartriges. Not saying I ever did that or anything....

The original Genesis was better. Back in the day when most people had mono televisions, it was nice to use your walkman headphones and play games in stereo.

I believe the order is bottom to top
Sega Genesis model 2 with CD adapter
Sega 32x
Sega Mastersystem adapter
Genesis cleaning cartridge (one end cleans console the other end cleans carts)
A game genie cheat device
The top 2 are the sonic games tha plugged into each other.

Man, I had a 32x. Picked it up at Venture for like $20 when they were going out of business a decade ago. Good times!

Actually it can also be made taller by using the original Genesis with the original Sega CD that went underneath it and not beside it.

What, no XBAND modem? Then you could unleash your 32-bit Master System construct onto an unsuspecting world.
