The next winery we visited is Strewn. It is a smaller winery, but I thought their wines are quite excellent. They also read my mind (or maybe the wife did when she signed us up for this) and offered a wine and cheese tasting. Five cheeses with five wines. All all of them were ice wines but what the heck.
- Blue Jay cheese. actually the name's in French but I can't spell it now. It's a blue cheese and it was WONDERFUL. I've yet to find it in Toronto though.. Help! Paired with ice wine
- A cheese, "Niagara Gold", made with milk from a Guernsey cow. Upper Canada Cheese Company is local in the Niagara region. This was so tasty I immediately bought a block of it at the winery -- after hearing that the farm isn't selling in Toronto yet.
