i really need to write more...

but it seems every word I put down eventually falls prey to my internal editor.

i love words but cannot seem to like my own.

I definitely echo your sentiments.

Great macro, the colors are lovely. I really like that, at first glance, it can appear to be a number of things - my first impression was of a rapsberry.

try starting a notebook just for writing and only for you to see. Consider EVERYTHING to be in the draft stage and don't even re-read anything if you don't think you can control yourself.

How odd that I come across this now. I'm heading back to school this week and I felt an overwhelming nostalgia looking at this. The start of a new year, a new beginning.

It's such a great shot. The lighting, the color, the composition.

As for writing, I understand completely. My internal editor seems to do that to me too. Making words your own is not as easy at it looks. It's an art form, just like photography. Anyone can do it, but it takes a true artist to capture what's in the heart. All the rest of us can do is try.

I deal with words a lot too~~other people's work and I think it's good you edit internally~~ my students don't edit their work ~~ they just want to finish their homework and break their pencils (if they can) so that they can have an excuse to hand in their work late~~ you are the good ones ~~love to have u in my class~~

Actually I see the image as a heart shape not completely formulated~~like the words you love that is in your mind~~slowly.....give yourself time~~ ^.^~

I feel you being to critical at your writing.Writing is expressing ideas. So, I believe that you should continue to express what you feel but don't interrupt the the flow of creativity cause it just like with intimacy the right word at the wrong time can kill the mood. I strongly believe that a writer who truly love writing needs to have faith in their writing and in themselves,for how can you sell what you writing if you don't believe in your own writing, really who else is should believe more than you. The is hope what ever you write you just have to breath life into it. Find out the style of writing that you do and be consistent with it.
