1890 Gentleman's Sock in railway stitch

Nancy Bush's adapation of 1890 pattern, "Gentleman's Sock in Railway Stitch"
I'm a little embarrassed I photographed these from the side showing my color in the round jogs but...
my adapation: knit 2 at a time, toe-up, magic-loop style. 11 stitches cast on for toes (would do more next time, these were too pointy), knit picks superwash merino wool, with a toe-up heel flap, knit till I almost ran out of black yarn to make them as tall as possible-bike friendly.
