I appreciate how much detail they put into the boots, and how little into the face.
eliza took this one, and I originally blogged it here.

I'm so glad I'm not high school student. I always hated those dress codes..
EDIT: Iceman, the world was never a magical fluffy place where everyone respected everyone else. You're referring to a history that never existed. I personally didn't realize this was a sign put up by a religious school when I first saw it and I still ridicule it. Why? There's no reason for it. Whenever you ask a school official the logic behind a dress code they'll simply refer to "immodesty" or "inappropriateness". They're never able to fully explain what they mean by this or why it's so important.
However, it is a private school. If people do not like it, they can go to the public school (which also have dress codes and should not, in my opinion).

The first church I went to discouraged women wearing pants. so I wore just skirts and dressesBut when I married my husband expressed a preference for strictly long skirts. Some people thought I was odd for wearing them all the time (mid-'70's). Even the pastor's wife thought I was a fanatic.
One woman made fun of me for not showing much skin. Now a lot of women wear them. They're great if you've got spider veins or don't want to worry about runs in stockings, etc. The reason a lot of conservative preachers hate long skirts is they want to see a flash of leg or look up a woman's skirt if she doesn't sit the proper way, Wearing businesslike skirts that flash a lot of leg is not about "protecting our sacred American culture or family values."
