Lee spent a couple days installing some cabinets and appliances at his parents' house in Orange County, California. This is a secondary kitchen located in the private suite of their home.

Lee had a free day to spend at home and a double batch of homemade (No added yeast) sourdough starter. It takes about a week for the starter to develop enough natural yeast activity to mix with more water and flour (the sponge) into the proofing bowl, then it's left overnight to be kneaded in the morning. Shown here is the starter on left, sponge in the center and risen dough on the right. Nothing like hot fresh homemade sourdough bread, pizza crust and hamburger buns.

Delicious home-made sourdough bread, on a platter that was a gift from mom. The trick is to carefully watch the starter, taking care to stir, take some out and feed the yeast twice a day for about a week.
